For this pattern I used:
Yarn & Amounts: One 100g ball of WYS Signature 4ply Sock yarn (75% Wool contains 35% Bluefaced Leicester and 25% nylon, 400m/437yds per 100g) or One 50g ball of 4 ply yarn (with 150m/137yds per 50g)
Metres/Yardage: From approx. 10g/35m for the first size to approx. 22g/88m for the second size.
Needles: Set of four double pointed 2.5mm needles.
Tension: 30 stitches and 42 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch using 2.5mm needles.
Skill Level: ♦ ♦ ♦ ◊ ◊
Measurements: Sizes (suggested)
first size to fit 0-3 months (with foot length of 8.5cm)
second size to fit from 9 months (with foot length of 12cm) The second size is a magical size and the cast on amount will fit a child up to 7 years old by adjusting the foot length. I’ve highlighted where to do this in the pattern.
My design ideas and advice: For Baby’s First Socks I used WYS Signature Sock yarn for the 2nd size and 4 ply merino yarn for the 1st size.
