Notions: Cushion pad to fit (approx. 60cm/24ins square).
Five buttons (approx. 380mm diameter).
Tension: 17 stitches and 24 rows to 10cm/4ins square over garter stitch rib pattern using 4.5mm needles.
Skill Level: ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ◊
Measurements: 54cm/21.25ins x approx. 55cm/21.5ins.
My design ideas and advice: This pattern uses the same rib and cable pattern as the Portalla Jumper from my Simple Knits book. I love designing patterns like this one where the stitches change. This one changes from the smooth panel at the bottom to the cable at the top. I think it’s like the stitches are going on a journey, they start with a smooth, relaxing wander and then go dancing with a cross over cable!
