For this pattern I used:

Yarn & Amounts: 6(7:7:8) 100g hanks of  Purl &Jane Masham Mashup Aran  (75% Bluefaced Leicester wool & 25% Masham, 160m/174yds per 100g).

Metres/Yardage: 960(1120:1120:1280)m/
1044(1218:1218:1392)yds.

Needles: 4.5mm.

Gauge (tension): 22 stitches and 28 rows to 10cm/4ins square over main pattern when slightly stretched using 4.5mm needles.18 stitches and 24 rows to 10cm/4ins square over rib pattern when slightly stretched using 4.5mm needles.

My design ideas and advice: This jumper is inspired by my total and absolute love of fisherman’s gansays. The history adn why they were made is what knitting means to me – a personal hand knitted garment that keeps the wearer warm, dry and surrounded with a feeling of being loved while they work hard.
