For this pattern I used:
Yarn & Amounts: Five 50g balls each of Knoll Mohair Tweed in shade A and shade B.
Knoll Mohair Tweed (70% merino/30% mohair, 110m/120yds per 50g).
I used shade 2604 Silver Bell for shade A and shade 2617 Mirage for shade B.
Metres/Yardage for each: approx. 540m/590yds
Total Metres/Yardage: approx. 1080m/1181yds
Tension: 19 stitches and 36 rows to 10cm square over garter stitch when using 4mm needles.
Skill level: ♦ ♦ ◊ ◊ ◊
Size: each square measures 14cm x 14cm.
The finished blanket size is approx. 84cm x 84cm (6 x 6 squares; 12 of each design)
My design ideas and advice: This pattern is one of eight pattern that I designed to launch especially at Yarndale 2017 along with the Knoll Mohair Tweed DK which was also just launched that year. The yarn is spun in Donegal so I named all the patterns using Irish words, Baile (BAL-yeh) is the Irish word fr place or home. The perfect name for a blanket that makes you feel at home where ever you are.
