Baby Caspian Cardigan Pattern

My design ideas and advice: This crew neck cardigan is perfect for a baby boy or a baby girl and has proved very popular in my Skipton shop, it is definitely a favourite which is lovley to see as I used my favourite rib stitch in it!

I first designed this rib stitch in a hat, which is called the Caspian Hat, so that is why I’ve named tihs Baby Caspian Cardigan. I’ve used it in four patterns in total, the aforementioned Caspian Hat, Capra Hat and the Sephora Jumper are all aran weight patterns and then the Kura Hat which is a DK weight hat knitted in the round. I shall continue to use it again and again because I love it so!
On this baby cardigan I used it as detail on the fronts. I added two cute pockets too but these are easy to leave out if you wanted to, though they are super easy to do and if you try you’ll feel so pleased to have achieved this new technique.
I used a different colour on the edgings, I kept it neutral with a grey but you can add any shade you want.

For this pattern I used:

Yarn & Amounts: 1(2:2:2:3) 100g hank(s) of WYS Bluefaced Leicester DK – Undyed (100% British Bluefaced Leicester wool, 100g/225m/246yds) in shade A (001 Ecru) and
Oddment (about 20-30g) dk weight yarn in shade B.
